Except it isn’t because it has a built in ‘spool up’. But I bought a lawnmower and mowed a lawn for the first time ever
Also gave my camero it’s first wash at the new house
It rained about 4 hours later

Washed all three cars last weekend and by Monday, my mom’s and mine got bird poop on it (AND WE AREN’T ANYWHERE NEAR A TREE OR PHONE LINE.)
And I forgot to turn off the sprinkler and the back left third of my dad’s car has water spots all over it. :|

It’s become a running gag among local SCCA folks that it rains every time I wash my car. It’d be funny if it wasn’t true.

Bought my first lawn mower, went with a corded electric because reasons, and mowed my OWN lawn the first time about this time in 2011. I’m pleased to report the only damage to the cord was done using my hedge clippers to clear some tall weeds. Had to replace the blade after hitting a rock with it. Otherwise no maintenance needed.

My parents paid someone to mow the lawn my entire childhood, and I didn’t have a lawn to mow myself until I bought this house last month.
